Collaborations &
Partnerships
Collaboration and partnerships is one of the main areas of focus for us.
We are always looking to collaborate with institutions, initiatives and companies who share our views and goals.
Charities and Projects
Maggie’s is a charity providing free cancer support and information in centres across the UK and online. The support is free and you don’t need an appointment or referral. Just visit one of their centres.
Maggie Keswick Jencks used her experience of cancer to create a new type of cancer care – centres offering professional support, bringing people together in a calm, friendly, uplifting space.
Maggie’s offers the best possible support free to anyone with cancer and their families who walk through our doors. Many of the centres are alongside NHS hospitals but there is also support online.
They help people take back control when cancer turns life upside down, with professional support for anything from treatment side effects to money worries.
Diane Watson, owner of She Can Prosper, is very passionate about this charity and is on the board of trustees.
‘Lean In’ is an organisation which helps women come together to learn from each other and achieve their goals, because women can be a powerful force for change in the world.
More than 50,000 women have started Lean In Circles in 184 countries, and new Circles are starting every day. Circles bring together women from all walks of life, from Latina immigrants to women in the U.S. military to so-called “leftover” women in China. In these small groups, women get and give peer mentorship, sharpen their skills, and have a place to be unapologetically ambitious.
Lean in Leeds is one of the largest Lean In circles in the UK with a membership of 800+ and growing. They welcome everyone, irrespective of gender, who is passionate about improving the quality of life and opportunities for women and girls and achieving gender equality for all.
They run monthly breakfast and evening events across Leeds (presently virtually using Zoom), to discuss experiences and ways that we can navigate life and work to achieve our goals.
Meetings are fun, inclusive and informal; suitable for anyone at any age or stage of life.
Smart Works is a UK charity that provides high quality interview clothes and interview training to unemployed women in need. We harness the power of clothes and confidence to allow a woman to be her best at a crucial moment in her life, giving her the confidence, the self-belief and the practical tools required to succeed at interview and transform her life.
Women are referred to us from organisations such as job centres, work programmes, prisons, care homes, homeless shelters and mental health charities. Half have been unsuccessful in over 20 applications. A third have been turned down from over 50 jobs. All are suffering from a lack of confidence in their own abilities.
The tangible impact that our service has on a woman’s confidence is something we have the privilege to witness every day. The magic begins when she enters the dressing room and is styled into her interview outfit, hers to keep, by trained volunteers. She looks in the mirror and sees a new and impressive version of herself. This is followed by one-to-one interview coaching, after which 65% of our clients go on to get the job.
