On 24th October I headed into Leeds to be a guest on BBC Radio Leeds on the Gayle Lofthouse Show. Gayle Lofthouse is a popular presenter on BBC Radio Leeds, known for her engaging and lively hosting style. She covers a variety of topics, from local news and current events to lifestyle features and interviews with guests from diverse backgrounds. I thoroughly enjoyed being a guest on the show, and Gayle seemed genuinely enthusiastic about ‘She Can Prosper’ and my recent Stevie Award nomination. During our conversation, we explored what it’s like to work with a financial advisor, covering some of the key benefits and insights I bring to my clients. I also shared my own business journey, reflecting on how referrals have been the true backbone of the business I’ve built over the years. Gayle and I then discussed my impending trip to New York next week to receive my Stevie Award for Lifetime Achievement.
The Stevie Awards for Women in Business recognise the achievements of women entrepreneurs, executives, employees, and the organisations they lead. Launched in 2004, these awards are part of the broader Stevie Awards program, which honors outstanding business accomplishments worldwide across various industries. The Women in Business awards specifically celebrate women’s contributions in fields like innovation, business growth, mentorship, and social impact, and they aim to showcase influential women leaders and their transformative impact.
Winners receive recognition in the form of Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevies, and the awards ceremony is a prestigious event that brings together leaders and advocates for women in business worldwide.
