When people ask about my proudest financial moments, they often expect it to be about numbers, growth, or accolades.
But in 2025, my proudest financial moment was not about how much I earned, it was about choosing what came next.
Retiring – On my terms
In April 2025, I retired from my role as a financial advisor after more than 30 years in financial services.
That decision did not come lightly. My career has shaped who I am, given me purpose, stability, and enormous privilege. But retiring was not about stepping away from money or impact – it was about stepping towards freedom, alignment, and intention. Financially, this was a moment I had been preparing for far longer than I realised. Emotionally, it was a moment of trust, both in myself and in the choices, I have made over a lifetime.
Walking away knowing I could, not because I had to, remains my proudest financial achievement not just of the year but my life. The choices I have made and implemented have given me the ability to choose. This can be the route for anyone.
From advice to advocacy
Retirement does not mean slowing down. Instead, it has created space to focus on what matters most to me now: empowering women to feel confident, capable and in control of their money.
In 2025, I began laying the foundations for the next chapter of She Can Prosper, transitioning it into a Community Interest Company (CIC) so it can grow its impact, reach more women, and continue raising funds for charities close to my heart.
This shift felt deeply symbolic and was less about transactions and more about transformation.
Planting the seeds for 2026: The Prosperity Club
Alongside the CIC, I have also been quietly and intentionally developing The Prosperity Club, due to launch in 2026.
The Prosperity Club will be a space for businesswomen who want:
- A healthier, more confident relationship with money
- Ongoing education without jargon or judgement
- Community, conversation, and practical tools for real life
- Supporting growing and developing their business.
This is not about chasing wealth for wealth’s sake. It is about redefining prosperity on our own terms.
Knowing that my financial position allows me to build something sustainable, values-led, and impactful, without pressure or compromise, is something which feels incredibly empowering.
Redefining Prosperity
In 2025, prosperity has meant:
- Retiring with choice, not fear
- Simplifying work without losing impact
- Aligning my finances with my values
- Creating a legacy that goes beyond my own career.
My proudest financial moment was not loud or dramatic.
It was quiet, grounded and deeply personal.
It was knowing that I have built enough, financially, and emotionally, to choose what matters next.
And that, to me, is real prosperity.
